Phyllis Leach visited Marcellus Rotary to talk to us about CASA and SAVAR which she works with, among many other organizations. CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocate (for children), and she is just that advocating for children in foster care or endanger of going into foster care. SAVAR is Sexual Assault Victim Advocacy Resource, which pretty much describes her role in that. On top of that she works with Literacy Volunteer Program, St. Johns Episcopal Church, and other programs and organizations. Phyllis is truly a gift to Marcellus. Thank you for your many contributions.

Rotary Youth Exchange 2015 Marcellus Edition welcomes our inbound exchange student, Marija Lemponen, who arrived safely Thursday morning at Hancock Airport. Maija who is from Finland (front row, second from left), is pictured with the Sadler's who will be her first host family. The Sadler's daughter Mackenzie (front row, third from left) is our outbound student this year. We wish her a wonderful experience as she departs for Dijon, France later this month. Rotary's Youth Exchange sponsors about 9000 Youth Exchanges every year. We wish both Marija and Mackenzie a welcome and a goodbye, and that both have an experience of a lifetime!
